It’s been like this ever since Ug bashed Og over the head with the sharp rock shard he found when it shattered after falling. I see no reason to assume the future will be different in that regard.

That said, we’ve also managed to survive what we inflicted on ourselves and come out stronger and hopefully wiser time and again, and despite its many flaws, in terms of overall quality of life the present is orders of magnitude better than the past.
